Celebrating the Pagan Holiday Eniovden in my village, Bulgaria
View of my village from my balcony. I see this every day, and it never gets old.
The girls going up the mountain to fetch water in silence for Eniovden. They are dressed in Bulgarian traditional clothes.
These are the two smallest girls who dressed up for the pagan holiday ‘Eniovden’ in my village.
This picture was taken on ‘Eniovden,’ a pagan holiday still celebrated in some parts of Bulgaria. The girls dressed up in traditional cloths and sang and dances. This is them going through an arch of flowers and a baba putting some water on their heads for heath.
